Companionship Combatting Social Isolation and Loneliness Together

Companionship Services

Loneliness and isolation are closely linked and feeling either of these emotions can have a detrimental effect on a person’s health and wellbeing.  Chronic feelings of loneliness may lead to anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, as well as worsening any existing medical conditions, and the longer someone feels lonely, the more detached they will become from society.

At Cavell Healthcare, our companionship service is perfect for individuals or couples who are seeking some comfort and reassurance.

For an elderly person living alone with no family close by, a trusted companion can make all the difference and give purpose to life.  Afterall, social interactions are what people live for.

Our Companionship Service can put family members’ minds at ease, knowing that their loved one is being visited regularly.

How We Can Help

At Cavell Healthcare, our dedicated and compassionate award-winning carers can provide support in a number of ways.

We offer a person-centred and flexible service to meet your individual needs and circumstances. You may wish for one of our companion carers to visit just a few times a week or you may prefer for your allocated carer to live in your home with you to provide care and support around the clock.

We work hand-in-hand with our clients to identify their individual needs and create a tailor-made care plan that is right for you.

Cavell Healthcare Companionship

The aim of our Companionship Service is to work with our clients to combat any feelings of social isolation and loneliness they may be experiencing.

Our support is focused on helping our clients to enjoy a greater quality of life; this could be by getting involved in their local community, playing games, going shopping, visiting friends or exploring their surroundings. Whatever helps improve their quality of live, our highly experienced Cavell carers are on hand to support.

We can also help in other ways too, such as with housework, preparing and cooking meals, facilitating access to hobbies and interests and personal care, should it be required.
