Companionship Combatting Social Isolation and Loneliness Together

Companionship Services

Feeling lonely or isolated can have a detrimental effect on a person’s health and wellbeing.  In fact, loneliness and isolation are closely linked.

The longer someone feels lonely, the more detached they will become from society.

Chronic feelings of loneliness may lead to anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, as well as worsening any existing medical conditions.

At Cavell Healthcare, our companionship service is perfect for individuals or couples who are seeking some comfort and reassurance.

For an elderly person living alone with no family close by, a trusted companion can make all the difference and give purpose to life.  Afterall, social interactions are what people live for.

We can put family members’ minds at ease, knowing that their loved one is happy and safe.

How We Can Help

We can provide support in a number of ways.

You may wish for one of our companion carers to visit just a few times a week or you may prefer for your allocated carer to live in your home with you to provide care and support around the clock.

Our service is person-centred and flexible to meet your individual needs and circumstances.  In close communication with you, we will identify all of your needs and create a package that is right for you.

Cavell Healthcare Companionship

The aim of our companionship service is to combat social isolation and loneliness, together with our clients.

Our support is focused on helping you to experience a greater quality of life and get involved in your local community.  Playing games together, going shopping, visiting your friends and exploring your surroundings are just some of the things we can do together.

We can provide support in other ways too, such as with housework, preparing and cooking meals, facilitating access to your hobbies and interests and personal care, should you need it.
