Great British Care Award for Victoria

Cavell Healthcare’s Operations Manager Victoria Lee has won the Workforce Development Award at the East of England region Great British Care Awards.

It recognises the work Victoria  has done to set up in-house training for carers and to help staff progress their careers.

Registered Manager Rachel Chettleburgh was highly commended for the Home Care Registered Manager Award and Gordon Anderson, who set up Cavell Healthcare seven years ago, was highly commended in the Outstanding Contribution to Social Care category.

Victoria said: “I am so thrilled to have won this award – the industry is full of fantastic people who work very hard so it definitely came as a shock to win for the whole of the East of England! It has given me a boost to keep progressing professionally.”

General Manager Christina Rowland said: “I’m very proud of all our commendations and particularly excited for Vicki who is so committed to her role and to making sure all our staff have the knowledge and skills to provide the very best quality care to our clients. Having in-house training is one of the things that makes us different from other care providers. It has helped immensely with recruiting and retaining staff, which can be a challenge in our sector.”
